Thank you for your interest in being part of our team of independent health insurance brokers. You are independent. You work as much or as little as you want. You are in control of how much you make and how many clients you help. We are here to support you and provide the training and resources you need to be as successful as you want to be. Whether you are brand new to health insurance or you have a ton of experience, we will guide you through a 4 step process to get you ready-to-sell as an independent broker.
Step 1 – Request to Join the VIP Broker Team
If you haven’t already done so, register to become part of the VIP Broker Team. Your account will be pending while other steps are completed. We will email you some information and schedule a time to talk over the phone for Step 2.
Step 2 – Introduction Interview
We would like to get to know you better to make sure we are a good fit for what you are looking for. We can also answer any questions that you might have and discuss the details of what to expect in the coming days and weeks.
Step 3 – Contracting
Assuming step 2 goes well, we will send you a contracting packet via email to fill out some paperwork online and start getting contracted with carriers.
Step 4 – New Agent Training
Whether you are brand new to health insurance or have a lot of experience, there will be a two-day new agent training that you are invited to. This can be completed either in-person or a live webinar depending on where you live.
Ready-to-Sell / Ongoing Training and Support
After those 4 steps, you should be ready to sell; however, training and support is always ongoing. In this industry there is always ongoing trainings to help us be the best we can be. Moving forward we can work one-on-one or in a small group setting on specific topics to further develop your knowledge, skills, and experience. By now, your VIP Brokers account should have been approved and you have access to the health insurance broker training library where you will find videos on all sorts of topics.
